You must be able to attend all scheduled classes, there are no make ups. CPR masks are required for all classes. You can bring your own or purchase one for $15 from Lagrange Parks and Recreation. Cancellation Policy: Applicant will receive a refund of 50% of your registration fee if cancellation request is made in writing 6 weeks or more prior to the start date. There is NO refund if the cancellation is made within the 6 weeks prior to the program date. There are NO refunds due to, but not limited to, inclement weather, illness, acts of God, failure to pass test, or closure from the Lagrange Parks and Recreation Department. CPR for the Professional Rescuer Challenge WAITLIST ONLY A perfect class for those who have been CPR certified before and who are able to perform the skills and other assessments successfully. If you need a full class with instruction, please check your local Red Cross.5/21, 6-8pmWaterfront RecertificationLifeguarding Review classes are designed to update your skills and to renew your current Red Cross Lifeguarding certification valid for another 2 years. Current certification (or expired by 30 days) in Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED is required to participate in the review course. Current certification is required to work as a Lifeguard. This course included CPR for the Professional. Course #15/21,6-8pm  & 5/24, 2-8pmCourse #25/30, 6-8pm & 6/1, 11-5pm Waterfront Lifeguarding Course The American Red Cross (ARC) Lifeguard with Waterfront course is a course designed to take entry level participants with no previous knowledge and turn them into professional rescuers for pool and non-surf environments. The goal is to provide them with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively assist others if an emergency arises.Pre-course skills test, entries, approaches, victim recognition, assisting distressed swimmers, rescuing an active drowning victim, rescuing a passive drowning victim.  Performing a primary assessment and treating breathing emergencies, treating cardiac emergencies,  and first aid.  Rescuing a spinal victim, what to do when things don’t go as practiced, lifeguard written exam and practical skills testing. Waterfront ModuleTo participate and pass the course: Participants must meet a variety of criteria to participate and pass the course successfully.-15 years of age by the last day of the class-Pass the pre-course skills test-Attend all scheduled course time-Pass written exams with 80% or better-Pass scenario based skills testYou will be tested on the following skills for the Waterfront Module Precourse Test:   1. Swim 550 yards continuously   2. Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs.   3.
